Pirate on 98.5

I heard a '70's based station last night on 98.5 with jingles but no slogan or calls so I assume it was a pirate station. They really played some great '70's songs!

Mike,
Where did you hear this station. I ask because WTFM (98.5) Out of Kingsport, TN.
Has a show called "Saturday Night Special". The format for the 7-12 show is 70's
some early 80's. Could this be the station?

Nope this sounded local, strong in places but lots of flutter. There were generic jingles and they never gave an ID or played any commercials. I could barely hear them as far south as Clanton and I-77 and as far north as Harris and I-77. They came in well along Indpendence from Sharon Amity to I-277. The only thing I ever heard was a voice in an echo chamber that said, "This is MP3 Radio". Whoever it was played some great '70's songs on Friday night and some great Oldies on Saturday and Saturday night. They were not on the air at all on Sunday. I live on the east side of town on the fringe I could hear it in the car but not in the house.
