Pirate radio in Austin

Can anybody tell me what frequencies are the current favorites for Austin pirate broadcasters, and what parts of town do they cover?
Or has the enforcement bureau successfully cleaned up Austin?

i think there is one or used to be at 100.1 in east austin and there was another two at some frequency, one in north austin and another part of austin.

There was still a 96.3 around south Austin, not sure if it is still around or not.

there are at least 3 more not including the 3 mentioned in previous posts :D the 3 mentioned above are "talkers" (yawn). the other 3 i know about play music (yay)

Pirate talkers on FM are, indeed, boring. At least play music with lyrical content that will convey on what you are babbling about. As long as the music doesn't suck or sound like crap. Why waste frequencies with crap that sounds like it belongs on the AM band?

In San Antonio there is a hard rock meatal station 410 & Esienhauer rd North East Side 97.7 RPM Radio last I heard back in 04 it was still on the air

Don't really care about programming...I asked about frequencies and coverage.

That's good help too. Bad four year old information about a different city. Thanks.

Hopefully I do not open up a can o'worms, but being a former (and possibly future) music pir8te meself, and because I don't mind them being around, I'll let you/yall figure out the freq's and coverage. I've had no troubles finding all of them on my own. I moved here in May '06 and most, if not all, have been around since I got here. Good luck!

As long as it doesn't interfere with licensed stations... why not??? Today's low power equipment is so much more stable than years past. There's no drift.

I came on here to ask about 96.3, so I guess I was right. What a booming signal...I can drive from Webberville and head up MoPac and hear it...it must be pumping a couple KW.

JDAWG, I pick it up too just at night, on 94.1 off wm cannon on my bad boy pioneer qx-949a quad reciever. I tried to DX KTFM a couple of months ago for 08 but it is mostly, grunge, house, and radio you would hear on KSYM. Kind of neat.
