Arrrrrrrgh! I was spinning the dial this morning when I found Pirate Radio Columbus on 102.9 with
a decent signal. They were playing 80's Classic Hits and talking like pirates.

No, it's not really a pirate. It's WXCH Hope back on the air. Wonder if Bob knows about this.
 
I was hearing 102.9, didn't seem real strong here, then it faded out, they must been working on the equipment or I'm getting some skip from 102.9 in Dayton...

They did this on facebook for a day. It got old.
 
They played the Clash and The Who along with some of the pop songs from way back when I was
a pirate. It really sounds like a breath of fresh air at this time. They will have to be very creative and
spend lots of time in production to keep the pirate act going.

It is said that if a station is really good you will think they are speaking to you. When the announcer
said, "Im a washed up old pirate DJ spit out of commercial radio" I could well relate.

This is coming out of the same building as Qnix and Korn Country.

So, how did Cold Coffee on this board know that a station would come on speaking like pirates?

Hi there. I'm new to this forum and was trying to PM Chief Engineer about something I saw in another posting, but the system tells me something like "URL not found" whenever I try. If anyone knows how to contact him please help. Thanks!
