Pirate station on near Oxford

Heard tonight...a pirate on 89.7, rebroadcasting programming from WGST-AM Atlanta. Signal appears to be in the Oxford area but it can be heard well into Anniston.

Doubtful. This signal could be heard all over Oxford, and some of Anniston. Also their local breaks were covered by promos and other content...something that they do on their online feed.

That sounds like it very well could be an XM transmitter. They are commercial free, you know.

Since when can an XM transmitter be heard across an entire city? I could see the possibility of it being an XM radio plugged into a souped-up transmitter...

Not sure if the station is still on. This was a good week ago when I first picked up the station.
