I recently discovered at my home in Hyde Park NY I discovered what turns out to be a pirate station on 95.3. There are no licensed stations on 95.3 within 150KM of the Mid Hudson Valley. It comes in weak but steady at my home. The station fades in and out as I travel to my job near the Taconic Parkway in LaGrange, possibly due to a low elevation antenna. The 95.3 pirate is relatively strong in eastern Poughkeepsie and again in LaGrange with fade outs to be unlistenable in spots along the way.
The programing sounds professional because it is the feed -possibly from the internet-of the GCN radio network( Genesis Communications Network) .The station appears to be on the air 24-7 flagrantly violating FCC rules .This comes as no surprise as most of what I heard was strongly anti-government , and anti mainstream media. They rant against the big brother government as well as ALL broadcast media which they say is financially supported and run by the government.
