This may seem odd, but there seems to be a pirate station simulcasting WPOP.
In parts of Bristol I was picking up WPOP on 99.5 FM. I know it was them because I matched up the programming with 100.9 FM and 1410 AM.
3 translators are the only thing licensed to operate on 99.5 FM in Connecticut.
Licensed to Storrs there's a translator that simulcasts Connecticut Public Radio.
Licensed to Clinton there's a translator owned by Full Power Radio that airs BOMBA-FM. Their antenna is in Waterbury. (Why are they still licensed to Clinton?).
Licensed to New London there's a translator owned by Full Power Radio that is doing Country. It's US 99.5 Country and it's a simulcast of WBMW HD2.
