Today as I was driving I ran into 101.5 FM KATY 101 but as soon as I went further south of the city I heard a spanish religious station on the same signal. I dont know the name but Im sure its in houston because they gave this number. 713-270-0828.
I later changed the stations and I heard the following
Magic 102.5 FM
MIX 104.5 FM
KACC 89.7 Golf COAST ROCKER from Alvin
COOL 92.5 FM
All these stations sounded great well except 101.5 FM is this station Pirate? Well anyway all the other stations had great signal in the HEIGHTS AREA. Are they new for houston or are they just Troopo Tunneling?

It was tropo. The tropo meter is off the chart this weekend because of the weather. We are reaching that time of the year where it becomes very prevelant in our region.

Oh ok but what about 101.5 fm? The spanish station? Is it a PIRATE ONE? JD where are you?

Actually, these stations come in (very weak) through all of the Gulf Freeway Corridor. You have to be past (or a somewhere near) the beltway in order to start getting these stations. I don't think it has anything to do with tropo since I can listen to them every time I go down to Nassau and Clear Lake.
P.S., It's not KATY, It's KD 101.

Hmmm these "church" people sure are taking a chance...1st 95.3 and now 101.5...None AINT licensed on any of these freqs..they are obviously breaking the law!! (Time to call a good friend of mine at the FCC....again). I hate it when a religious group thinks they are above the law....(They need to reread their bible...where Jesus says give to Caesar what is Caesar's...but they obviously believe otherwise)

Certain people around this board think otherwise. How ironic uh? A church breaking the law.

Why do you all make bring out that its a church breaking the law? Yes is bad that they do but not only churches break the law. And you all should read the bible too. It says that not everybody who call God lord will go to heaven.....

Well, I'll take your advice and read it, and afterward give it to some of the local churches to they can also re-read it as well. Seems to me they forgot that they were a church of God, not an illegal business
