Not aware of any current pirates, but here's what I've gathered from the web and this board.

87.9 - Unknown - Classic rock, explicit stand-up comedy, audio from channel 26 KRIV. Busted 1991.
87.9 - Unknown - Reggae/Dancehall, strong signal in West and Northwest Houston as far as Katy. On air DJ. Inactive since 2007.
94.9 - "94.9 Montrose Radio" - Montrose - Freeform/progressive/LGBT, professional operation with DJs, call in number and guests. Signal reached as far as 610 loop. Busted by FCC, federal marshals and HPD in 1999.
95.1 - "Hot 95" - Copperfield/Cy-Fair area - Top 40/Hip Hop, mentioned Cypress Falls High School. Broadcasted on and off from 1998-2000. Very weak signal (part 15). Possibly associated with "Kiss 95.1" and "106.1 Kiss FM". Inactive since May 2000.
95.1 - "Kiss 95.1" - Copperfield/Cy-Fair area - Top 40/Dance, professional sound with liners and jingles. ID'ed as KSFM. About a mile of coverage. Broadcasted on 95.1, then 106.1 before switching back to 95.1 FM. Inactive since 2004. (see "106.1 Kiss FM")
95.3 - "95-3 Southwest" - Southwest Houston - Explicit Rap/Hip Hop, with DJs and call in number. Busted 2002.
95.3 - "95.3/Boom Boom Room" - Unknown - Explicit Rap/Hip Hop, with DJs and call in number. Possibly busted. Inactive since 2006.
96.1 - "Metal FM" - Unknown - Heavy metal. Busted by FCC, marshals and HPD in the middle of a song. A loud cracking noise followed by a hum was heard over the air. Busted 1988.
96.1 - "96.1 Tha Zone" - Acres Homes - Very community oriented, planned to apply for LPFM license in 2007. Possibly busted. Inactive since November 2006.
99.9 - "Radio Energy" - Unknown - Trance/House music. Broadcasted on and off from 1998-2000. Inactive since June 2000.
105.3 - "Da Bomb" - Clear Lake area - Edited Rap/Hip Hop, broadcasted for about a week in 1994. Inactive since 1994.
106.1 - "106.1 Kiss FM" - Copperfield/Cy-Fair area - Top 40/Dance, professional sound with liners and jingles. ID'ed as KSFM. Broadcasted on 95.1, then 106.1 before switching back to 95.1 FM. Inactive since 2004. (see "Kiss 95.1")

There are several accounts of many Pirates on the FM band in the 70s as well, but not many details are available.

Great list do you know of any more pirates list the web sites you got these from thx

95-3 Southwest & 95.3 Boom Boom Room were run by the same group of people from the same location same music with about 6 yrs inbetween

Oh, how I miss the "Chucky" show! I had no idea what a 'candy cane' really was until I listened to 95.3 a few years ago. Now that is a REAL Merry Christmas (and it rhymes well too!)

None of them did only state you will do jail time for running a pirate station is florida

Perhaps my ex-sidekick and traffic partner (who lurks this board regularly) would like to share his story about pirates and the FCC. Oh, Ange---
