Pirates all over the band on FM! North NJ

Seems to be another influx of pirates all over the band in Passaic NJ on 99.9,95.9,104.7,107.9 all spanish music,as usual.
Orange,NJ is also full of pirates playing Soca and Carabeean music try tuning in 96.7 and 99.9 near exit 145 on the Garden State Parkway.
The FCC doesnt seem to mind.
Also some strange carriers with nothing on them on 103.9 and 98.3 lately.
These operate 24/7 usually and never get caught.

I'm not gonna say what format is on this frequency, but in Elizabeth/Linden, I'm picking up some "groovin" music on 102.3 ;D

The pirate on 96.7 has been on the air since last summer and has a huge coverage area - I've heard them all the way from Newark up to Wayne and beyond. 99.9 has been on the air as long as I can remember. The 103.9 pirate is usually on every night after 6pm but sometimes earlier.

The one on 103.9 is pretty strong......I noticed issues with WFAS-FM's signal as far north as Paramus and usually their signal is crystal clear there.

Guess They will stay on the air forever, nobody seems to mind! Not the FCC,at least.

If/when the FCC *does* pay attention, send 'em here to South Florida....we have our share o' pirates here, too! Arrrrrrrrrrrrr!! :)

cd

The FCC has given up on radio. It's all about "bandwidth and broadband" to them. Look at how they want to yank the TV spectrum away from the broadcasters.

Radio is the new CB. Soon you'll just have a pirate yelling "AUUUUUUUUUUUDIOOOOOOOOOOO" and calling everyone a mud duck.

The 96.7 pirate in the Newark area wipes out K-Love, which should have a decent signal there. K-Love comes back with static in the Woodbridge area, but it's gone past New Brunswick. The FCC had a week to find the pirate when there was nothing (legal) on the air at 96.7.

The FCC should check 9 Caldwell Place in Elizabeth. Yes, the forner site of the old WJDM. Reportedly, there is a 2 bay fm broadcast antenna atop the C.H. Martin building that was used by a pirate a few years ago. I suspect a new operator may be in there.
The 96.7 pirate is especially problematic since it is causing serious interference for WKLV and their newly activated New Rohelle xmtr site which they were hoping would be a good rim shot singal into NYC.
Owner EMF says they were aware of the problem and are working with the FCC to shut down the pirate. Sorry to say EMF laid out upward of $15M for this. Hardly getting their money's worth.

My favorite is the fact that if they are AFRAID of going in your area, you wont be touched!
So everyone that wants a country, club,or standards station should pull their money together
and put their transmitter in places like Passaic,Newark,or The oranges, because the FCC wont EVER bother you!And thats a FACT.

Speaking of Elizabeth that club dance pirate on 102.3 was playing Baltimore club mixed in the morning now they are playing Armin Van Buuren's A State Of Trance show.

everytime i go into places with pirates, i tune my transmitter for my mp3 player to their frequency just because they deserve it.

What if Lisa Paige were on a pirate station?

Like I said if you want to be on the air just put your transmitter in an area they just wont go to,months and months of operations and the pirates in these areas are still on.Someone should put a country, old school rap or dance format on in Newark.

There is a dance format near Newark, 102.3 in Elizabeth.

87.9 in Newark has been on nearly 2 decades! Why have they never been raided?

I heard 2 new pirates last night in the Newark area. 107.9 was playing spanish ballads which I have never heard on that frequency before. 107.1 was playing disco/70's type music. This is the first time I have heard a pirate on 107.1 here. Usually I get a mix of "The Peak" and "The Breeze" depending on how I position my antenna.

Hey folks, I lovelovelovelove pirate stations...listening to Jamminz Radio as I write this. Are there more out there with websites that I can hear online? Point me in the right direction, people...thank you!
