so much for "it's just people trying to serve the community".
Noticed more than a few pirates on the upper end of the AM dial yesterday about 5 pm on Rt 128
in Reading--one of whom wasn't even in the expanded band: AM 1580, with a particularly strong
signal. And while 1650 is normally Logan Airport Info Radio, I think I heard a pirate on that freq.
Fine 'em, jail 'em if you have to...breaking the law, pure and simple. Maybe someday the FCC could
set up a spectrum of the radio dial where pirates could put out power to their hearts' content
WITHOUT causing interference to legit stations (doubt it though)
