The death of Billy Mays got me thinking of all the different spots I tracked before I switched to TV news. Somewhere out there someone may have my spots pitching Rio Grande Valley palm reader ''Mother Tina.'' I also recall doing a spot for a piano and organ store that took me 26 takes before I could get thru it with a straight face. It included the line ''Now you can have the organ you've dreamed of at a price you never dreamed possible.'' Juvenile, I know, but I found it funny.
