Just what we needed...... Lafayette gets another urban station, this time on 106.3. This one is more contemporary with some hip-hop. The flamethrower 2.7kw signal barely makes it to the hood so they have an uphill battle. For those keeping count of all the urbans in Lafayette,

I guess I'm just different. I'm "40-something" and I find The Juice more listenable than The Monkey was; Less dead air, on-air personalities who actually sound local and get excited about the format, plus it's not all Hip Hop and Urban, I hear a lot of Zydeco in the afternoon. The production is a bit better, just a "bit". BUT, if I hear "Stanky Leg" one more time... LOL.
