It provides a bit of leveling so the Optimod doesn't work as hard. Using several processes has been a common practice for decades. The most popular combo being Texar Prisms. and an Optimod 8100A. Prisms were developed in Monroeville and tested on what at the time was 96KIX here in Pittsburgh.
Oh wow! I've heard of both of those things everyone's favorite. I wish I can get some gear like what you have like an Optimod. I'm just using an Omnia 9 which has great dynamics
