from a seahawk fan

congrats guys for a great game. you deserve the win.

wait til next year!!! ;)

Yes! And another reason for us Browns fans to hit the bottle. We're the team that gave the world Bill Cowher and Bill Belichick. Cleveland is stuck in Groundhog Day mode, where it feels like Jim Brown just keeps retiring over and over again. The pain won't quit.

Seahawk may not have a winning record next year . The last 5 or 6 teams that lost in the superbowl , did not have a winning record the following year .<P ID="signature">______________

Way to go Steelers!

BTW the coverage on KDKA was horrible! None until Dickson got on the air, and then the undercover folks took over and talked about their stupid stuff.

Another reason why KDKA is down! Lack of localism when its important!

We do play in the NFC West. For good or for bad, our division is similar to that of the Minnesota Vikings in the 70's. How you play against the best competition is a big factor. I don't see anyone in the division that is any better, and I would be surprised if we do not win ten or eleven games next year, in spite of the recent history of super bowl losers.

Re: seahawk may not have a winning record next year

that may be true, but i don't listen to statistics... remember

8-0 record when a quarterback with #8 starts
2-0 record for the nfc when super bowl is played in a northern city

neither one of those things happened. then again the seahawks were not given much of a chance either (and still don't).

"Steel Curtain: The Next Generation"

Can I assume that the major Pittsburgh TV stations broadcast live postgame coverage all night (especially if the Steelers were to be returning to Pittsburgh early this morning, February 7th)??

BTW, the title of my post denotes the Steelers' defense had a great Super Bowl, and that there appears to be a new generation of the "Steel Curtain", which might cause nightmare to opposing NFL offenses for the next few years.

You may know that I live near Boston, and while we're quite disapointed that the New England Patriots did not get a chance at a historic three-peat, we're also disapointed that we did not get to entertain the Steelers for the AFC Championship at Gillette Stadium. That would been one heck of a game and would have gone down to the wire.

We know that Pittsburgh has a large number of trendously loyal fans, and we only wish we could have had the chance to provide those fans who came here with some wonderful hospitality for an AFC championship game, especially in light of the fact that Pittsburgh provided fantastic hospitality to those Patriots' fans who came to the Steel City for the AFC Championship a year ago. You were awfly nice to those fans from Boston, and we only wish we could have returned the favor a couple of weeks back.

Re: seahawk may not have a winning record next year

Try to keep in mind what the Steelers were doing all year. They were telling you and I that they won't let "history" or "stats" dictate their futures..

The History said Cowher couldn't win. History said we couldn't win 8 games in a row to take the Bowl. History said no 6th seed could get the title. History said no 6th seed could win the SuperBowl. History said we would choke before getting one for the thumb.

Now History is history. Dontcha think?

Steelers

Added congrats to Steeler fans who partied with class in Motown. The usual number who go a bit too far, but overall a great, fun bunch and true football fans.
