Pittsburgh SportsNet fires Hailey Hunter

Hailey Hunter, the sideline reporter and between periods host for Pittsburgh Penguin games on PSN, has been given her walking papers.

She was given no reason other than "we wanted to go in a different direction". It was certainly a crummy thing to do to her a few
weeks after she got married.

Fenway Sports Group, the outgoing owner of the Penguins and by extension PSN, has made some odd decisions about air talent
over the years (bringing Tim Neverett back to Boston only to can him a little over a year later, dismissing Pittsburgh native Steve
Mears from the Penguin TV booth, dumping Robbie Incmikoski from the Pirates broadcast crew, etc.)

It will be interesting to see if the incoming Penguin ownership group (provided they decide to keep PSN at all)
will bring some stability to the broadcast crew lineup.
