Wow....taking me way back to my days as a tot in a playpen here.

I do remember watching the pre-Sesame Street lineup on WQED (What's New, Friendly Giant, and the ubiquitous Mr. Rogers Neighborhood). And all of the instructional programs they would air in the afternoons, intended for use in schools.

I also remember that late morning lineup on KDKA with the Beverly Hillbillies and Andy Griffith. And that WTAE produced
a local version of Romper Room.

(Years later in high-school I had a friend whose older brother had dated Miss Molly from the local version of Romper Room. We had a pool running on whether or not she ....um.......satisfied on a first date. Never got an answer on that from the brother)
