Pittsfield, Mass Radio's Mr. Mike Passes Away

Received some sad news from a former colleague that "Mr. Mike" (Michael Rancourt), an overnight staple at the "old" WUPE (when it was on 95.9) back in the 80s passed away of a stroke at age 50 last Tuesday night.

He was one of my first friends in radio and was quite talented, underappreciated (I felt), plus was a great collector and lover of vinyl records.

His passing needed to be noted and I salute my friend, Mike. He will be missed.

sorry to hear of the loss of your friend and colleague, blue. hope the memories of his friendship and his love of the biz stay with you.
