Pittsfield's W07AI to move to Channel 28.

The legendary Channel 7 translator (W07AI, rebroadcating WNYT/13, Albany) in Pittsfield has applied for a new channel (28) with a substantial power increase, under the rules regarding "displaced" translators. This is an "oldtimer" dating back into the 1960's. It has always been a well engineered repeater. UHF does require a little more power to get some more coverage, compared to a VHF-hi channel. But this one should do better than the current Channel 7 operation. I hope to see this station on both the old and the new channels.

I seem to recall WNYT legal ID'ing in the mid 80's with a channel 7 listing for Rutland , VT as well. Does anyone else recall it and if so what happened to it?
