Planet Radio Lafayette shiftsfrom Alternative to Mainstream Rock

They still suck. 105.1's signal sucks. Their product sucks. Same lame jocks. Same lame imaging guy. Same sucky moniker that means nothing. Same re-treaded bits. And a Program Director that calls himself "Tard" in 2012? Wow, how come no one has said anything? No protests? No ACLU? What's next on that station? Calling someone the N-word as their on air name?

I would call KRDJ 93.7 "Active Rock", they may play one classic rock tune an hour, Planet on the other hand seems to be playing almost 50 percent 70/80s classic rock and only 2 or 3 Active Rock 'currents' per hour. They should have used a new moniker and imaging. They were an OK alternative rocker, now they just sound stale.

Ironically, that makes 92.3 is the only commercial alternative rock station in Louisiana and even they lean slightly active rock.

Actually with the exception of a few songs, 92.3 has definitely leaning more active compared to it's first days as I expected it would be more of a true blue active rocker out the box.

Actually had a few people who liked planet as it was still a modern rocker/alt. rocker and yeah most of the alt is gone... Unless they under a LMA we don't know about, I thought usually you couldn't flip a format (albet it's minor still it's a shift in demos) when it's under a Divestiture?
