From my understanding, the plans for Opus Alexandria are as follows ...
Mike Carson, Program Director, 103 (Go Mikey, you da man!)
Chris Snyder, Program Director, 104
Rick Stevens, Program Director, 105
No Ops Manager, not now, not later.
Hope that clears up a few things for those interested.
As for Kahuna, he doesn't really deserve the mention or attention, but I was once very close to him, and I feel compelled to comment on the earlier post, since I feel I know him better than any of you. Talented, experienced, passionate about radio? YOU BET. Unmatched in his dedication. Unfortunately, these things don't dictate one's character or personality, and if he had the ability to work well with others, he could make a real contribution to a station's staff. His termination came as no surprise, and it's true many were glad to hear of it, especially those who worked closely with him. I see no cause for celebration though, it's rather sad to see such a capable man unable to reach his full potential. Is he a liar, a manipulator, a sh*t starter? People, I could write a book about the devastation he's caused. But I can also give the guy some credit, he worked so hard, and those stations were his life. Poor ratings or not, he put his heart into that place, he gave 110%. He might have deserved an ass-whiping or a good tongue-lashing, but he didn't deserve this ... he has an incredible work ethic and remarkable creativity. Maybe he lied so much b/c he failed to receive well-deserved recognition and respect, I dunno. I'm not making excuses for him. I'm just choosing to remember some of his qualities as an Ops Mgr and a PD, and not so many of his faults as a man.
