Platnum 96.7

Platinum Is Really Starting to get in a Good Grove.
They are playing All the Same Songs and Adding
New ones to make it sound less soft.
Its Becoming a real nice oldies station.

The only "Pop" music I'm really interested in hearing is 80's and The Beatles.

But then, there is the over-commerical 80's, ie Pat Benetar, and stuff like that.
If they just would not pander to that, on SOME station.... to be soemthing other than Lowest Common Denomiator Commerical Hits -- on some station... on the dial.

They say that's being too discerning.....

I say, that's what "FM" radio was all about.... to begin with.....

But there's little room for anything but what makes THE MOST money......

Isn't that "The Most" ! ! !

Really, I wish 96.7 sucess..... Dallas needs as many Lite Rock & Oldies Pop stations as it can handle..... Lots of soccer moms to advertise to !!!!!

Perhaps the station name has more to do with the hair color of the audience than platinum records.

This can't be a considered a 25-54 player.

I don't believe it's meant to be 25-54 to begin with. Probably more like 45+.

Allan Furst Say's: I used to think the world of music revolved around Billboard and Radio And Records charts. It doesn’t for ‘real people’. You know the kind, the ones you see on the street everyday.

You my friend have hit the nail on the head!

Why do most CHR, HOT AC's and Country stations all sound the same musically? Because most play the record game. Play a bunch of stiffs and the same songs as everybody else and WALLA you get Trip Giveaways and other nice little promotions for your station.

I hear better music in the food stores, the little hole in the wall stores at the mall.

Programmers better start listening to the "Silent Majority". In research it's called: PASSIVE RESEARCH That's where you find the MASSES. Is it even done anymore? :'(
