Play-by-Play Currently on 92.9

Just flipped to 92.9 and they are airing the Compass Media Network USC - Stanford broadcast. It's also being streamed on their website. They took a timeout & aired the same spots several times for about 5 minutes, then abruptly rejoined the broadcast in-progress just in time for another break. Sounds like an on-air audition.

The Dave FM Facebook page says they will be airing games on weekends & Monday nights. I "assume" that means they will have the Dial Global (CBS Radio/Westwood One) NFL package effective immediately.

Sounds like it was "automated" and someone didn't program the format clock for it properly in the automation system.

Dave is at it again...

Compass Media Network is broadcasting the NFL's Eagles - Ravens game currently.

I heard them run a prerecorded sports commentary by author and XM host John Feinstein today.

This is definitely the weirdest flip in memory.

I remember the days when the Falcons games didn't sell out and they were blacked out locally, that was before Arthur Blank bought the the team.

Waste? Sports makes money, so it's not a waste. Remember, radio is a business, not a hobby. ;)
