Play By The Rules

Hello,

As you may know I have been moderating the Providence board for about 3 years now. I visited this board often and the position was open for several months, so I decided to take on moderating the board. My approach is to be laid back; I simply browse as a user, and quietly edit and/or delete offensive threads or posts if needed.

When coming home tonight, I see my mailbox filled with several reports toward the same thread with personal attacks. Several posts and threads have been deleted. Now I hate to be police man here, but this is just ridiculous. We are all grown up adults here (some more mature than others apparently). Please take a moment to read this:

http://www.radio-info.com/mods/help?Help=rules

Very simple rules to follow, however us Southern New Englanders apparently like to continuously fire personal attacks and other nonsense (see rule #1).

I won't keep throwing in my 2 cents like this going forward, but please be advised that myself along with co-moderators cabradio and/or Randy WILL NOT tolerate such nonsense. We reserve our right to simply remove or edit posts that violate the rules without notice to you. Repeat violators will be dealt with on an individual basis, which could lead to you being banned.

If you have any direct concerns, please feel free to email any one of us directly, and we will be glad to address the issue the best that we can.

Thank you and happy CLEAN posting :)
______________

Radio-Info! Where slander means never having to say you're sorry! ;-)

Jeez, I monitor a half-dozen Radio Info boards and this problem comes up at least three or four times a year on all of 'em. No wonder everyone likes to remain anonymous...

Rick: FYI

I resigned a couple weeks ago. I am still listed as a mod and the "M" is still attached, but I am not moderating anymore. I don't have the time. I visit breifly just to see what's up.
______________

Ooooh playin' by the rules is no fun!! LOL but I do like the fact that mr moderator is a laid back "big brother"

now for my shameless plug:

Come on down to Ted's of Beverly Hills where you'll experience the best meat to ever enter your mouth. Bring the whole family down, you'll get your choice of carbohydrate, wine and if you're lucky, I'll come over to the table and compliment your wife. I'm Ted Bell
