Anyone who programs a small market radio station knows that getting music service is a major challenge. The big recording companies couldn't care less about markets of much less than a million people. In 1991 CDX attempted to solve that problem by issuing compilation discs to smaller stations. Much more recently a Canadian web site called PlayMPE.com came along. That leveled the playing field so that smaller stations could receive close to the same service that the big stations have. Around the first of the year PLAYMPE came up with a new system and I find it to be incredibly user unfriendly. They fixed something that wasn't broke. I'm wondering if anyone else is having the same problem. Are there any other sources of new music for small market radio stations?
