Playlist archives?

Hi, y'all, I was wondering if radio stations archive their playlists from years ago? The reason I'm asking--I'm looking for the title of a song from early 1970 that was played frequently on WRR-AM 1310 and I can't find any information anywhere. Is it possible that logbooks or playlists are archived somewhere? Where do I go to find this information? Thanks so much.

Have you Googled part of the song lyrics? Put a few words from the lyrics in quotes in a Google search box.

Or Google to find one of the dozens of song lyrics sites (Google: "song lyrics"). It's probably not on this site, but it's a favorite of mine: http://www.songfacts.com/

Hi,Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. The board wouldn't let me back on. I have already tried Googling the song lyrics, but have gotten nowhere. I have a Billboard book listing all the songs that made the top 100 from 1955 up to the 1980s, but many songs that were played on Dallas AM radio in the 1960s and 1970s did not chart nationally, so I haven't been able to find it in there, either. I was hoping that some sort of records were kept and archived somewhere. I should have asked Jim Lowe when he was still living. Teresa

Can you give me some info on the song (including some of the lyrics)? You might be surprised what some of the people on this board know.

I hate to drag up an old thread, but it's been a busy summer. Anyways, what I remember about the song is, it was really pop-y (probably very sugar sweet, but hey, I was only 9 years old). It was a duet, a man and a woman, and the only words I remember are "clock ticking on the wall" and "I don't want to leave you." I have googled all those lyrics and have come up with nothing. This song was played on WRR-AM in early 1970. If you've got anything, I'd love to hear it. THANKS!!!

AACK!! Yes, I'm a huge radio fan!! But surely you got more than just one fan letter Hey, but I found "Stay Awhile" and that song makes me . I heard it recently on KAAM and couldn't change the station fast enough!! So, the song I'm looking for is something else, but solving puzzles is fun!!

Try "the Delfonics" or there was a french song in 1970 that received little airplay becaused it was banned called ",Chetain"Pronounced "Sh-Tan" It has sexually suggested sounds ..leave it to your imagaination on that last point.

I think you are referring to "Je t'aime... moi non plus" by Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin.
