Anyone know what's going on with George Plaster? Isn't his non-compete up in March? Mid-days on the Game, maybe? Would sure be nice to have something local. Hell, maybe mornings. It's hard to listen to Darren.

Why would you think he'd show up anywhere other than afternoons? And yes, that non-compete is up in March... which means he can't talk publicly about another station until then.

So is Big Joe just a place-holder for Plaz? Does Willie want to play second fiddle again after being the lead guy? Or is there another station in play for George? I don't know the answers, just askin'. What are the ratings for 3HL and the Sports Revolution?

104.5 and 3HL are KILLING IT in the ratings. Plaz should take the mid day slot on 102.5 because Paul Kuharski is driving lots of people off the midday180 show.

I like and respect Plaz but he's nowhere near as exciting to listen to compared to the usual 3HL show.

...but at least Plaz would be talkin' sports, while 3HL would have wondered off on their favorite TV show (that none of the rest of us watch) or something else.

I have this feeling that 102.5 will get to respectable and steady ratings, but never approach the success of the Zone, as long as the Zone can stay the way it is. The Game will skew older and the Zone will skew younger.

I agree. When I tune in to a sports show I want to hear about sports. I don't mind a little bit of filler but not much. This is what got me in trouble with 3HL last summer to the point where they stopped reading my tweets on the air. LOL. They were yapping about some nonsense and I tweeted them about it and they got ticked saying it was summer and there were no sport stories to talk about. Then I tweeted several sports topics to them and they did talk about one. I thought it was lazy to claim there were no sport stories to talk about...there are ALWAYS stories to talk about.

Plaz would indeed pull in a lot of listeners because of just that. But it would seem a little unfair to Willy for Plaz to just pop in and take over. And Plaz isn't going to play second fiddle. Whatever the case I'm eager to see what happens. I can't imagine Plaz staying off the radio. I just hope he doesn't go to 560 am.

The mission of 3HL is not to talk sports. Any one of those three guys will tell you that. Their mission is to engage a mass-audience with entertaining banter using sports as a framework for the discussion.

Obviously it's working.

Well, if it has indeed been planned then that's different. But do YOU know this for a fact? If so, then I'm cool with it.

And just how fairly did they treat Charlie Saunier (fired) and Aaron Solomon (publicly demoted on the way to being fired)? It's radio. I worked in it for 20 years and I never heard anyone describe the industry as fair. One can only hope that Mr. Plaster is smart enough not to play their kind of Game.

I'm not a fan of George Plaster, never have been, but I think I would prefer him over Clay Travis on the Zone any day. I liked 3HL when it was on Mid days but I can't stand it on afternoons. First, they need to change the name because what 3HL stand for (3 Hour Lunch) doesn't fit from 3 to 6 since it is no longer lunchtime. And I get tired of Clay Travis' "My Opinion is the only one that matters" additude on the air. I've heard him many times state "INCORRECT INFORMATION" on the air as fact, but when someone calls in to correct him, he tells them they don't know what they are refering to or talking about. If he is going to continue with his "I'm smarting than the callers" schitck, then he should move over to Supertalk 99.7 with all the other "Arrogant, I Know More Than You" host.

Clay and Paul K appear to be polarizing. I think that is good for a radio station.

Paul has great taste in music too. I enjoy hearing them talk about things like that.

You're a bit skewed on things. Aaron knew exactly what he was getting into, what the future was going to be for the Game. There's been more thought that's gone into the development of the Game than you seem to realize.

I've decided I like PK in doses or segments rather than a whole show. He has a better chemistry with the morning show than with the mid-day show. I feel tension there. Let's see how it is 6 months from now.

One thing I absolutely HATE though is not letting callers talk to get their opinion in before being cut off by PK. If you want callers then let them get their say in before you rip them. This goes for ALL shows. I'm not saying let callers talk for 5 minutes but at least let them make a point.

As for Clay Travis: He does the lawyer thing. He makes accusations and talks over you. When someone calls in to take issue with him he almost always asks them "why are you so angry?" This immediately takes the caller off their point. And I still liked it better with 3HL on at noon.

I've been VERY impressed with Blaine. He asks questions that I want answers to and has the insiders point of view. I actually wish he were a coach for the Titans. LOL.
