PLEASE EDIT YOUR QUOTES IN POSTING!

Another plea from your lovable moderator ...

Please apply rules #2 and #3 from the schedule posting guidelines to all posts where there is a lot of information in the original post.

Those rules (adapted for general use) are:

2. When commenting on a previous post, PLEASE delete the portions of the quoted post you are not commenting on. The requoting of the entire post takes up database space (which contributes to the site slowness) and makes it difficult to find comments without scrolling up and down.

To delete just a portion of a quoted post while composing your reply, move the cursor to the beginning of the section you want to delete, hold down the left mouse button and move to the end of the portion you are deleting, then release the mouse button and press the "Delete" key.

3. If posting comments that do not require requoting the previous, please delete the entire quoted section, for the same reasons as in #2.

Deleting an entire quoted post is easy. Get the cursor anywhere in the screen, press Ctrl-A, then Delete.

The thread on geographical locations is becoming difficult to read in spots because people are requoting previous posts that contain the entire original list. People, when you do this and insert your comments, you are increasing the possibility that your remarks will not be read because we can't easily find your remarks!

Thank you.
