ANYTHING BUT THAT WINDBAG. PLEASE!!!!

I don't think the reason P&K are gone has to do with Russ. Gavin thinks that Big ******** Hunter can actually handle a show. He's put him in to pinch hit for P or K if one or the other was out, because Gavin thinks "live" radio is better than running a best of. Without Pugs, there's no Kelly - and vice-versa...they were funny at times together - but BDH filling in was always dismal.

Dick takes 20 minutes to get to his point - at which time you realize, you don't care what his point was anyway! GAVIN -- If Big Dick is so great, and "LIVE" radio is better than best of's -- then go ahead and put your Big Dick Buddy on for Russ when HE takes vacation.

If P & K don't come back, and that idiot is left to flounder in the afternoons, I will become a full-time news radio fan and listen to KRLD until Russ comes on at 3. BDH -- Take your "Reality Bites" esoteric banter and shut the mikes off and listen to yourself. You're out to lunch if you think anyone gives a s- about your take on Mixed Martial Arts, your stupid-A D-List celeb interviews, and what Terley picked up at the bar last night.

If O'Malley can handle doing his own show and stay on Russ' show -- he gets my vote any day. At least he and Raj are interesting to listen to. Otherwise - KLLI is up a creek until 3pm each day. Nice one Spittle.

Are you serious? O'Malley? He is more painful than BDH. But don't worry, BDH prefers nights, he is just the ultimate team player. He won't get that time slot, unless he wants to do two shifts everyday, which he might. I don't know why they just don't do Russ 24/7 and change it to Russ radio, that would work, wouldn't it?

Anything but p&k, imo. I'd rather listen to someone with odd guest and great connections even if the show is a bit rough around the edges still. It took me awhile, but I enjoy him now. I can pass on Turly(sic?), though... Big Dick, even if short lived, is a breath of fresh air over gobbler boy trying to get his words out and that indecisive pill popping bimbo going of track. I like O'Malley -- with Russ. O'Malley's show runs tight, but O'Malley is kind of boring himself, and the show just comes off as a cool down/hangover from the Russ Martin show. O'Malley's future is safer with Russ.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ::) If Russ really needs a 24/7 channel, he should go to sat radio.

Huh?

BigHunter sure knows a whole lot about a show he can't stand...

There is no way BDH could possibly be on for much longer. Yes, his interviews are greatness. But the rest of the show is terrible. I think the only thing the show has is those interviews. Without those, there's not much left.

I only know what I know about BDH's show because Gavin puts him in the place of any other show that has a day off - sans Russ. His interviews may seem like greatness to you - but I disagree.

Howard Stern is a great interviewer - but the real magic of his show is not the guests and what they have to say -- it's the interaction between the people on his show when there aren't any guests in the studio. When I've forced myself to listen to BDH in the hopes that his show would grow on me, that interaction between show members doesn't seem to be there. Or if it is, it's buried in a mound of repetition and run-on sentences, and I miss it. I don't like listening to a show that fills airtime by taking so long to make a point, and then beat it into the ground ad nauseum. To me, that's the mark of someone who doesn't have anything original to say. To each his own, I guess. If people like him, he'll be around.

Cheezez! His show just started and I'm already thinking of blowing my brains out. So far he's mentioned Joe Francis, NASCAR and Pro Wrestling, and Jagger hasn't even finished the hand-off yet. So long, 105.3!

I really don't see this station surviving much longer in its present form. Gavin does not know how to program talk radio (or news/talk obviously).

BDH is one of those people who...think...if....you...talk...real...slow...people...will...think...you...are...really...smart... But if you listen to what he says it is all crap. not to mention the fact that he is a forty year old guy trying to act like he is 20, trucker hats and too tight t-shirts... Bad radio, bad listen.

His delivery isn't particularly slow, IMO. The issue for me is for all his talking he can't bring any interesting insight to subjects I have no interest in. If his patter was like a modern-day Walter Winchell "Joe Francis talk" would still be irritating.

I think part of BDH's problem IS his delivery. I listened a little today and he made what would have been a funny comment about Oprah's legion of female fans. However his delivery was so slow and unenthusiastic, that what would have normally made me chunkle, if Jagger or Pugs said it, got no response out of me at all.

You're absolutely right....it is his delivery. But that, combined with very little to say, makes for a very slowww, dullllll show. Hot dogs have less filler than his show.

Which 105.3 host are you talking about there? It could apply to pretty much all of them. Jagger, Dean, Mondo, Pugs, Russ, Dan, Clo, BDH . . . heck, even Leykis - take your pick. Basically, the whole lineup is just turn-your-brain-off entertainment. Sometimes it's good and sometimes its vapidity sucks your will to live. It's a toss up.

Is it just me or do you also realize half through every filibuster this guy starts that you are totally not interested in him finishing and probably don't have the life force to even continue. Just get on with it.

And second of all he might want to get a guest on his show that doesn't serve is own tastes. Try to appeal somewhat to the masses. This guy sucks. I thought I was done with him when he was let go by the Ticket. And Here he rears his long winded, meandering, boring, sell gratifying head. Pro wrestling - give me a break.

Well, Gavin thinks he's awesome, and a team-player to boot --- so unless Gavin solicits feedback, reads info boards, etc...BDH will hold down the midday spot for some time anyway. I'd love to know what his ratings have been on his 10pm show.

BDH being a team player is going to be his best trait, always will be in radio, film, and TV, at least in my experience.

Un-credited hard work is a pillar of the industry. ;)

BDH is not the type to anchor a chow around, in fact based on what he's had to say and the things he's shown interest in I don't see him wanting the responsibility, although doesn't everyone "want" their "own" show??

He just seems like the type that like to go out do his own thing and I don't see him being able to do that if he has responsibilities of his "own" show to be tied to.

I agree he is soooo slooooowwwww. Nerve-gratin!!! Topics & interviews are boring and just...je ne sais quoi.

Please get rid of this drivel.

"from the midday show" used to follow their names in all of their spots. Strange they would delete that, but leave their names in the spot.
