Hopefully, this controversy about Savage's misinterpreted comments about Autism do not jeopoardize his spot on WAEB. He explained himself well last night. It was a great show! All the great local sponsors hopefully will stay on board and keep Savage going. Support free speech!
 
i disagree that savage should stay on. savage has got to go. if imus can get canned for his remarks, well this is just as serious in another sort of way. picking on autistic kids! come on!! how low can the man go? and this from the same goofball who goes on rants "i love the children ... anyone who hurts children is evil ... blah blah blah." yeah, well savage just emotionally hurt children with vehemently offensive remarks. way to go Mr. Righteous Savage.
 
I'm sure "Doctor Savage" knew exactly what he was doing, he knew that his remarks on autism would generate ratings, and now I'm sure during his show tonight the "Support the Savage Legal Defense Fund" crap commercial was running quite a bit. He probably saw donations dwindling and decided to drum up support. I can't stand that moron. He typifies stereotypes and acts like a total jerk to just about every person who calls the show- whether they agree or disagree with him.

You have no respect for free speech. Imus should not have been fired and neither should Savage. If you are a person who likes radio or is in radio you should be afraid of these politically correct leftist complaining about what radio people say. There will come a day where everybody is kicked off the air. This is something that must be stopped. Preserve free speech!
 
Furthermore if somebody wants to bang his (you know what) against the microphone it should be protected by Freedom of speech. Obviously no one will listen but it is up to the market to dictate that. Moving on to another subject the FCC should be shut down. As well as the IRS! Vote Liberterian! Barr 08!
 
First off, I do not like Michael Savage. I feel that his tone of voice is rough & his comments are meam-spirited. That's MY opinion. I will, however, defend his right to air those comments. He also has the right to any consiquences those comments may bring.

I protest his show with my tuning knob. If nobody listens, he will fade away.
 
Just another example(and there is one everyday) of someone screaming that they are offended about something. "Oh....$##@...that offended me"! :eek: Pleeeeeeease.
