I love this board. It has great people on it and I visit it multiple times per day.

I am BEGGING you to do away with the black background with white text and yellow links. This is very hard on the eyes of anyone who has had Lasik or wears contacts.

A light background with dark text is much easier on everyones eyes and is PROVEN to improve page views and the duration of website visits. While the actual posts look great, navigating is already giving me a headache.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE rethink this color scheme.

I must agree. I work in an evinronment where paper dust has abraded the surface of my corneas, and too strong a contrst on-screen can be as bad
as not enough contrast. ( Siemens loves to print designations on electronic PLC modules in a medium gray ink upon charcoal plastic)

It's not that I can't focus, it's a "foggy" effect from scratching, and I'm sure It's the same complaint as above re lasik.

Please consider on whether figuring out a way to let users set a particular color/contrast scheme preference.

Make that three votes...I don't wear contacts and haven't had Lasik, but this just isn't easy on the eyes.

Also, am I right that threads that we were subscribed to on the old board we now have to post in once to be subscribed on the new board?

There is now a style selection option for the forums. Down at the very bottom of the page on the left side, you'll see an option for style selection. Please try "default style" option. The color scheme changes to something pretty similar to what you are used to here.

Thanks for hanging with us during the transition. We look forward to continued participation from all of you. Please let us know if you have any further problems at [email protected], or post at Ask Radio Discussions.

I'll close this thread so members can get back to Engineering talk here.
