Star 93.7 was not an Urban AC by any means; I'm not sure where you're getting that information. Star 93.7 was born out of the ashes of the "Jammin' Oldies" craze, and that's where the 70's-and-80's R&B came from on the station.
In it's later days, Star was a combo of Urban Oldies (but the more Disco-like, Top-40 urban oldies), Rhythmic CHR, CHR, Hot AC and Dance. Unlike 1090 WILD, which is exclusively Urban Oldies (and of a deeper varient), Star was targetted at, as someone else posted, ladies from Revere and Medford with big hair. By no means is this the same audience as WILD.
Mike has greedy owners and Star didn't? It's the same company!
