Pledge time on PBS

Chimp,
What if said, NO more country music on pbs? (not sure what else they have because I intensly DISLIKE pbs and thats another thread, someday).

When has country music EVER been quality?? I personally, would think thats a great idea. I dislike LOTS (not all) country music.I CHANGED 2 radio stations FROM country TO a different format, because commercial sales were going down and I really disliked the "sound."

"Quality" is in the EAR of the beholder.

I fail to see the "QUALITY" that YOU (may?) think exists with country
music.

I wonder WHO made YOU the judge of "national quality??? WHY are YOUR "standards" of quality, correct?? It's only "Chimp's taste. These standards of quality are YOUR personal taste. Extremely subjective.
Yours. YOU don't program music anywhere but for YOUR own ears. Enjoy yourself doing that.

This is why I believe that MOST of your posts about music and what "belongs" on adult standards, what country songs are good or not etc.,) are quite silly and self serving only displaying YOUR OWN PERSONAL taste.

Of course, You are entititled to YOUR opinion of "quality" -but MAYBE I might like disco. Lots of people (not me) think "standards" are awful. If I was 20, I would, too. See what I mean?

I actually like some disco. "The Hustle" and "A Fifth of Beethoven" are on Dial Global and I have no problem with it. I like K.C. and the Sunshine Band but freely admit they are garbage.
Most people (not just me) say disco is garbage.
And a lot of country music is quality. John Denver was on several times during pledge week. True, his is not "real" country in most cases but more folk/pop. Nothing wrong with that.
