PLJ Radio Stream change?

I've started having trouble with some links from the Replay AV "Guide." Something must have changed. The solution is to go to the station's website, click the "Listen Live" link, and paste the URL into the properties of the station.

I guess the change provider when the stream is on Iheartradio. I don't know when this gonna happen?

If it hasn't happened already, it will soon. The entire Cumulus chain recently signed a deal with Clear Channel's iHeartradio - Greater Media will also follow suit in the coming weeks - so I'd presume that there will be a slow switchover in the coming weeks. Dunno when PLJ switches.

In a way, this saves a LOT of money for Cumulus - heck, they just outsourced all of their streaming responsibilities to another company! - plus it gives iHeart another leg up against other stream services like StreamTheWorld, TuneIn and CBS's in-house Radio.com. (TuneIn still lists CC and CBS stations, but those links naturally default to either the official Radio.com or iHeart steams.)

Part of the Clear Channel/Cumulus deal for iHeartRadio includes CC participating on the "Sweetjack" sales promotion owned by Cumulus.

just so long as I can still record using replay AV, that's all I care about....alot of people depend on this sort of thing for our entertainment :)
BTW I Heart Radio = stupidest corporate name ever :)

Thanks for the info guys, seems like I'm not the only one with this problem, as noted here and elsewhere..

I tried direct copying the URL from the stations page, that didn't work. I'll give yours a try.

nope, tried again, http://player.streamtheworld.com/_players/citadel/?sid=844&nid=2920 does not work.. just gets errors... yet tuning direct still works fine

The station page links may not work with Replay AV's direct capture mode ... I haven't tried it. Web pages with an embedded flash player may work in the audio capture mode but not with direct capture.

You could switch to audio capture or, since Replay AV comes with a "URL Finder" that will identify the underlying URL of whatever is currently streaming on the computer, maybe you could find a direct link that way.
