PLJ Tweaking the music?

With the recent changes that Lite FM has made, likely in response to Fresh, I've noticed some tweaking in PLJH's music mix as well. The most evident sign? Just a few moments ago, they aired "Irreplaceable" by Beyonce. I know Beyonce is *very* hot nowadays, but this seems to diverge from the American Idol/Bon Jovi type of "safe" music they were sticking to up until now.

Could PLJ be "freshening" up their music in response to Fresh and even the competition from Jack?

Most likely. Fresh has seemed to force some changes among area stations (mainly Lite FM and PLJ). Obviously the notable one would be 106.7 actually dropping the 'Lite FM' name used for over twenty years.

While Fresh is playing good music, they really need to continue 'freshening' up their playlist, because if you listen to that station for long periods of time, there is definetly repetition. It doesn't sound very 'fresh' to hear 'Irreplaceable' and 'The Riddle' six times a day. If they sound good, they can continue to really create competition against the queen '106.7 FM' and the station scraping at the bottom of the dumpster already, PLJ.

Heck, Listen to it for two hours in the morning, and you hear their entire daytime playlist. Sometimes even songs twice in one hour.

"Irreplaceable" is on the Hot AC charts. The Hot AC station here in apx Market 181 (look it up) added it. Hot AC has become a variant of Top 40, its not really AC anymore.
