Their audio is really bad.... I remember Scott Shannon used to love the huge powerful sound an audio processor gave them. I was never in love with their audio, but at least it was a signature... now they sound terrible over the last few days. Levels all over... what happened???
 
Maybe that Optimod 8100 with all the wires dangling out of it like a blown up squid finally croaked? And WABC is so broke that they could only afford to buy a $50 Behringer from Ebay. ;D :D

They have installed a new audio processor - a Omnia 11 if the word on the street is correct. That might have something to do with it....
 
WPLJ sounds very good technically over the last couple of days. Audio is cleaner than any of the other like format stations and just as loud, or louder. Deep clean bass, brighter and good consistency.
