Plug in packages for adobe audition

Also, how do I get rid of the two strange windows at the bottom of my screen (some wierd spectra-grafix-wavemeter thing and a wiglgy jiggly graph-a-ma-bob) Cool edit never had these windows and it made the actual editing window a whole lot bigger. Now I'm all Boo hoo.

Hmm..What version of AA?

Tackling this first: It's easy!

In AA 2.0 be sure you are program started as administrator level 5 or lower. You should be 1 but if there have ever been any other users you will need to go into system/values/admin/edit/personal section and revise your user status. Be careful becasue you might get the little grey "timeout" box. If you get that, reboot and start the program again, but remember to re-adjust your user level first or the program will need to be re-installed.

If you are using 1.5 you can toggle the user level screen by hitting "sections/options/edit" drop box will ask your current level and you need to enter 1-5 to get in. If you enter the wrong level in 1.5 it's no problem because you can review the level preference screens by accessing the viewer monitor in file/extras/edit/preferences/level/view

Then you can hit "screen/view/edit/classic/new" to return to original screen pixel ratio, OR even easier, hit ALT/+S+> and toggle the screen adjust zoom box yourself. BUT if using 2.0 you need to qualify the values in the "type screen" window. You can just enter a value in there or use the arrows. To remove the wiggly jiggly thing, you will need to go to "spectral/edit/value" screen and click the "remove show" box to make sure the box is unchecked. If it is greyed out it must be unavailable to your user level and you will have to call Adobe Customer Service at 888-ADOBE-07 and use the auto-punch option (star) *18 to talk to a "real" auto attendant person. Tell them what version you are running, and be sure you are registered or they will drop the call. You can do this by clicking the enter bar, and hitting registration number "gen code" (the one usually starting with 03001-0004-xxxx-xxxxxx-AA21x)

The spetra-grafix window is a bug and can not be removed without a major re-alignment of cursor motion and that can only be done in XP and not in VISTA if you are running a new computer you will just need to ignore it, or put a piece of grey tape over that part of the screen..(the values it shows are way out of sync anyway)

Oh yeah, April Fools.

First, the iZotope stuff is outstanding and wel worth the money. Waves stuff is nice because of the low CPU draw and visual feedback, but sound-wise, it's nothing spectacular. The vast majority of the Waves stuff (as far as sound) is just like Audition's built-in effects. Waves does have a few plug-ins, like Enigma, that you won't find elsewhere. Their compressors also offer opto behavior, which I like...But overall, the electro compression, EQ, limiting and other "typical effects" are just like Audition's. The R-Maxx bundle might be worth checking out though. The Waves SSL stuff is pretty decent too.

If you want to close those windows, just undock them and close them. Just like with previous versions of Audition and Cool Edit Pro.

Hey Jeff...Not tryin to be a party pooper! Look at posting times...You posted yours while I was typing mine! Only beat me by a minute. :p I didn't even see your post until now. Oh well, if it makes you feel any better, I read about half of your post saying, "what the hell?" before I finally realized where you were going. :D

Now that the day is nearly over...

Jeff, you have an evil sense of humor. In other words, you got me.

Me too, Jeff... you had me going about halfway through, even to the point of opening up 1.5 and thinking "what the heck is he talking about?!" Ya jerk ;D

BAH-HAH-HAHHHHAAAA!

Now since it's the 2nd. For both current versions of Adobe Audition (1.5 and 2.0) I like the Wave Arts plug ins for really good reverb (MasterVerb 5) and for what amounts to a very good mic processor (TrackPlug 5) They are really strong, and reasonable.

A GREAT time compression/expansion plug in and it's FREE is "PitchWORKS" from delay dots It's available online as a directX download here-----> http://www.delaydots.com/xfreeware.html

The WAVES bundles are also okay, but as somebody (probably Emmett) said before the "stock" AA effects plug ins are really strong, and really are duplicated by the Waves stuff..which can be expensive to purchase.

And seriously if you use AA 2.0, you can refresh your "view" to factory default, and not have those weird extra screens about.

Thanks. I'm going to try this in the AM.
PS - VERY FUNNY April fools post JL. I got to the third line and was totally steaming(not to mention befuddled)
:)

Just grab one at the top of its frame and drag it to somewhere else on the screen. It will attempt to re-dock itself (you'll see it creating a blue or green transparent trapezoid when trying to dock). Just drag it somewhere where it will not dock (like right on top of your waveform). Once undocked, it will appear just like any other window, with an "X" to close it out.

I use WAVES SSL 4000, Gold, Platinum and Diamond packages. Love the Q10 and REQ6, L2 and C1 plugs.

I also use the Sony/Sonic Foundry plugs. LOVE the Dynamics compression plug from Sony/Sonic. As well as the Wave Hammer for final mixes. Joel Moss at WEBN turned me onto the Wave Hammer.

I've got the Izotope, and some VST plugs that are cool. Mostly use the Waves and Sony/Sonic stuff.

vodood, which version of foundary has the wave hammer plug in??thanks

::)Oh, that's some funny sh##..
Thanks for the giggles
