BA is revamping their morning shows for both their SMOOTH AC and SMOOTH JAZZ NETWORK. Beginning on JANUARY 3, veteran smooth personality SANDY KOVACH (Detroit) will do the daily network morning show along-side music icon KENNY G. The new morning program will be heard weekdays from 6-10a on both of BA’s networks. Sandy is very good and the G spot has always been the weakest link in their line up. As usual, BA can't see the forest because of the trees but at least they did put on a real personality instead of musicians who should be playing and not talking.

We wish Sandy the best with the new morning show. Like Chris said, she was very good on V98.7. I'm not too crazy about the pairing of her and Kenny G though. Sound like they are trying to bring back in some way the Ramsey Lewis morning show.

I'm sure that under BA's guidance and with the help of Mr. G everything interesting and cool about her can be stripped out of her act. I hope she doesn't have to play chick sidekick to KG who has as much business being on the radio as I do playing sax onstage.
Bill, you know I love ya, brother :-*, but not even Kepler's ego can fill the hole in this hull. We can all agree that, while we love solid radio personalities, at the end of the day, it is all about the music. So I can't see how this bandaid is going to be able to stop the bleeding from this mortal wound.
If the Gods at BA were so smart they would realize that they made the ship sink and now it's time to build a new one with a new vibe and direction-But wait why am I thinking that they are smart. They brought this whole thing down with their brilliant strategy in the first place. When trend starts to happen it is really hard to reverse it-In this case the trend is going to be reversed and SJ or whatever it wants to be called needs to move to the next paradigm
But if they build the new ship they would do what they did to the last one. Lock the deck so nobody but them could be on it and force the industry to ignore any competitors. Then they would get stuck in the same place, never evolve.
