Pol Ad Dollars Opportunity

The Greensboro News & Record is reporting Asheboro City Councilman Eddie Burks is throwing his hat into the ring to challenge Richard Burr for the Republican nomination for U. S Senator. Burkes was on WPCM 101.1 (WZTK) in the mid eighties. He is/was an advertising consultant in Asheboro and a sales representative for Time-Warner Cable in the Triad. Will there be big bucks spent in the primary? Probably not in this race, but what about those Democrat challengers who are fighting for their party's nomination? Could be a few extra dollars be out there for stations this spring. What's the word on the street from you folks who actually sell or have sold advertising? Are you expecting a lot of $$$ from the politicians this spring. This could be a good opportunity for stations with the right programming and connections, and are willing to roll up their sleeves to go after the business.
