Political Ad question

In the State of Ohio the primary will be held in March. On a local news/talk station that runs a significant number of syndicated talk shows by Laura Inghram, Clark Howard, and Sean Hannity, I heard an ad for Newt Gingrich during their live and local morning show. Would this be a required commercial ad-on from one of the aforementioned shows or could it have been a local buy? Seems kind of early for a local buy.

They are ads that care about the 54+ demographic that is for sure.

And radio is exactly the right place to mine that demo! It's ironic that radio keeps trying to attract 25-54's when there's a goldmine in advertising to 54+!

To paraphrase former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, "You need to work with the audience you have, not the one you wish you had."
