Political Attack Ads

Yeah.....now we're back to the onslaught of shady lawyers, furniture stores and vehicle peddlers.

What a change from the lying political ads.

And Christmas commercials. The shady lawyers commercials typically only run in the daytime like during 'Judge Joe Brown'. Vehicle and furniture range in terms of looking fine and professional to looking cheap and being annoying. But most aren't that annoying. And all are much better than political ads.

What's annoying to me are informercial like ads (any ad with a phone number) such as those aired on Antenna TV. I'm not sure how one watches shows on that channel without using a DVR. Also annoying are ads for old people: ads for the Scooter Store, Debbie Boone Lifestyle Lift, as well as the prescription drug ads aired on the evening news.

I have noticed the old people infomercial condensed ads (Lifestyle Life, Scooter Store) on "CBS This Morning", but these commercials don't appear on "Today" or "Good Morning America". While I like CBS's efforts to be less like "Entertainment Tonight" in the morning, the commercials indicate to me a different demographic.

I like CBS's efforts to replicate the Cronkite era for its evening newscasts. But look at this Donald Trump already has an attack ad or conspiracy on President Obama before he starts his second term on January 20, 2013.
