Political rates ...grrrrrr

Venting. If the supreme court says that corporations may advertise for candidates unrestricted monetarily (don't get lowest unit rate) then why, why must we still give the candidates the lowest unit rate? That's crap.

Also, been waiting to see endorsements like Enzyte for for McCain (can't you see John and Smilin' Bob on stage together) or depends supporting one of the really elderly Senators or the Franklin Mint backing Romney, etc. Lot of creative potential here.

By and large, you aren't going to see corporations buying ads directly for candidates...why alienate half your customer base? They may make contributions or buy issue ads..lowest unit rate would not apply.

I'm not a fan of subsidizing the incumbents at all. But the alternative could be worse. They would prefer that we be required to give them FREE advertising. When that happens, the game is over.

Does it have to be for-profit, product or service corporations directly advertising for the politicians?
Or can it be a non-profit incorporated entity whose main purpose is politicking?
