Pollard and Sommers under the same roof

First off let give credit where credit is due! Smart promotion, great tie-in fundraiser but done terrible wrong! Where is the rest of the staff? Wouldn't December be much more warm and fuzzy if all the personalities took a group shot like a Christmas card? And who cares about the family?

I really need to start listening to my mom more often...

Pleeze! Are you people naive or just plain stupid? These jocks aren't doing these "charities" out of the goodness of their hearts, but for the good of their wallets. If they weren't being paid a big talent fee for it, trust me, they wouldn't be doing it.

i worked a couple of "stuff the trailer" events when Z was still alive - we DID NOT get any big payday for it.

it was for the food bank, thanksgiving and the people who needed it.

same with the bikes for kids. we got in trouble (okay not so much trouble, but a little flack anyways) for the HUNDREDS of bikes that were in the office until they were picked up.

not everybody does things for ratings or a big payday.

i'm just sayin'.

i've seen the "david sommers action pose". it can be intimidating.

;D

my last thread on this post. here's the truth on goober and why she has no ones respect. she is in position she does not deserve because she hasnt paid her dues. she acts like she knows what shes doing and does not. shes a living stereotype of the uneducated loud mouth bigot. as for da-vid, your buddy george jones has a song you should have listened to more often before you signed up with gp. the song is

Choices
By George Jones
From Album: Cold Hard Truth, 1999

CHORUS:

D G
I've had choices, since the day that I was born
D Bm A
There were voices, that told me right from wrong
D G
If I had listened, I wouldnt be here today
D G D A D
Living and dying, with the choices I made

G A G D
I was tempted, by an early age I found
G A G D
I like drinking, oh and I never turned it down
G
there were loved ones, but I turned them all away
D G D A D
living and dying with the choices I made

CHORUS

G A G D
I guess I'm paying, for the things that I have done
G A G D
If I could go back, oh lord knows I'd run
G
but I'm still losing, this game of life I play
D G D A D
living and dying with the choices I made

CHORUS

D G D A D
Living and dying with the choices I made

I knew that this was the reason for the middle-school jealousy toward Amie. If you'll notice, the REAL jocks that post here, like Sommers, Wild Bill, and such...they're not threatened by Amie as an on-air talent. That's because they know who they are, and they are good at what they do. The people that would get threatened at Amie being on the air are the people that can't cut it as jocks themselves. With the exception of Stewy, who seems cool, all of the Amie haters here are probably just has-beens who couldn't make it as anything more than just mediocre jocks.

Success as a radio jock is measured by ratings, and gaining popularity with the listener base by relating to them. Regardless of whether or not Amie "paid her dues" by starting on the air when she was a teen, playing turntables, and all the other old school stuff....what matters is that she is a success now.

No one in the market is threatend nor are they jealous of Amie. I'm not trying to hate on anyone. Amie made her own enemies and ran that market ALMOST clean of any talent left in that market...why so she could sit at the top. I'm not trying to bash or hate anyone I just speak the truth. Amie is the one that feels threatened and jealous of the talents around her.

And I guess if you count the 1 book that TVY was #1, then yes Amie is a success. But you also got remember the circumstances revoling around that book...
