some of the question based on my time in Canada where CRTC does get involved with format issues (often as condition of license). FCC doesn't get involved in other format issues so it didn't make sense it would be different on HD subchannels

That's pretty much what I get here, which seems a bit odd given I should be right in the pattern. The other thing I've noticed is that when KNWN is weak, the 1010 from Camloops is solid.
