Poor Liz Habib...

It probably doesn't matter since the dominate game in El A is now soccer.

Major gaffes in the newsrooms of America are now so prevalent you'd have to wonder if the Talking Heads are actually alive or are CGI.

You'd think she'd brush up a little on her Kings knowledge before doing this report the other night...

No one tunes to FOX11 for local sports coverage unless there is a TMZ angle and even still, who cares? Even the NHL on NBC's own local affiliate in KNBC-4 threw up a graphic about the Staples Center's preparation madness to all the different playoff games in a local news spot last weekend with logos of the Lakers (of course), the LA Clippers and the Sacramento Kings (umm what?) to represent the story Chuck Henry was introducing.

I get that LA has a huge hard-on for the Lakers but I'll bet you dollars to doughnuts that barely a whisper will be heard about the Kings and their potential Stanley Cup run win or lose. No, instead we'll hear trade rumors about Bynum being sent out to pasture to the Cavaliers or how the Dodgers did something so monumentally important with well over 3/4th of the season left to play that it defies all convention to not report on it incessantly.

I'm used to the local LA media snubbing the NHL for LAKERS LAKERS LAKERS! I miss the days of Stu Nahan on KTLA when sports reporting wasn't just about the "Flavor sport of the day". Much like Jim McKay has said so many many times, one must be "Spanning the globe to bring to you the constant variety of sport!"

Anyways, Kings in 6. Go Kings Go!

I am surprised she did get Kopitar's first name right. Most anchors say "Ahn-zay" instead of "Ahn-jay". Other then that, it was a train wreck.
