Poor Reception this weekend..

Wonder if thats a sign of them getting ready for HD? Seems like I am having trouble on recieving the 9 stations on the main tower at Missouri City. Every other one will go just about completely dead. Its not my antenna because I can recieve the rest just as clear as can be. Anyone else have this problem in the fringe areas?

I'm not sure about the rest, but the Infinity stations are broadcasting from Richland. In fact, it has been happening for sveral weekends since August 19th.
It's my understanding that it is a lower power. I may not be right about that, though.

The Richland tower is the Aux site...seems like the work on Sr Road for the HD conversion may be underway.

I had been curious about that. I had noticed that the audio on KHJZ had sounded ever so slightly different lately...still fine, but one of those subtle "seems something's changed" perceptions.

Makes sense to start it now, since we're pretty much out of hurricane season for this area of the Gulf Coast.

Thanks for all the info, ya it seems like the work is on the way, every now and then the stations will just go out, I gues it doesnt realy effect the Houston metro but out where I'm at (lavaca county) its very hard for my Truck radio to pull in, and even my outdoor antenna about 20' up is having some trouble. How long does it take for them to get them back up to full power?
