poor timed ad may cost AEW a advertiser thanks to a ultraviolent wrestling match, Domino's Pizza upset at AEW over use of Pizza Cutters as a weapon.

last night, during AEW Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen, a ultraviolent "No Rules" match between Chris Jericho and hardcore ultraviolent indy wrestler Nick Gage (who is best known as a man who wrestles the ultraviolent death match style of wrestling with lots of violent stuff involving light tubes, glass panes, and barbed wire to name a few weapons in those types of matches). during the match, Gage brought out his signature weapons of choice, a pizza cutter. and then he used the pizza cutter on Jericho's forehead to further bust him open (as he was already bleeding), then right as that moment happen, TNT went straight to a Picture in Picture commercial break in which the first commercial was a ad for Domino's Pizza showing a Domino's employee cutting a pizza with a pizza cutter. this was clearly a poor choice of ad to air right after that moment, they could had shown a different ad for a business not involving pizza. and as expected, it went viral on social media and Domino's wasn't happy with the poorly timed ad playing and now they are threating to end all advertising on AEW's programming thus possibly may just only sponsor WWE's TV-PG friendly shows as AEW is TV-14 (but the Jericho/Gage match should had bumped the rating to a TV-MA rating for it's ultraviolent content).

This might be the start of advertisers opting out of sponsoring AEW due to it's not-so family friendly product, Wrestling in the past has had a stigma of being to violent to advertisers and the advertisers have been more happy to sponsor WWE after it went to TV-PG in the wake of the Benoit tragedy in 2007 (where Chris Benoit killed his wife and son before taking his own life after suffering from CTE and abusing steroids and other drugs and alcohol in the wake of personal losses of friends).

My guess is that it was purely an issue of bad timing..The Domino's spot was probably coincidentally scheduled to air at that time, bought and paid for long before anyone could realize it might air during a match involving a pizza cutter.

But yeah, I can see why it'd go viral, and I can understand why Domino's would be less than thrilled.

I hope this dont start being a problem for both AEW and TNT when sponsors start pulling out advertising on AEW Dynamite and Rampage.

Could you have made the title of this post any longer?

Arent the ads pre programmed in and ran by a computer i don't think they chose to run a dominoes pizza ad specifically at that time I think you may be mistaken on how that process works.
