I'd love to see Kylie become more mainstream. Sure she has a following, but she's huge everywhere else but the USA.

Mariah Carey is a smash. Rihanna and Kardinal Offishall are moderates.

"Beat It" and "Take a Bow" are going to be smashes.

Fall Out Boy - As I said before, Alien Ant Farm doing "Smooth Criminal" wasn't supposed to work, but it did. FOB doing "Beat It" works even better, but now I'm craving Weird Al's "Eat It" every time I play "Beat It".

Rihanna - This song is becoming a hit, and that’s a bad thing. Now, I have no beef with Rihanna. She seems very nice from what I’ve been able to find, and there’s no arguing she’s easy on the eyes. My problem is that this single isn’t from her album, it’s from the re-release of said album. People, if we keep letting artists have hits of re-releases of albums that just came out less than two years ago, sooner or later an artist just needs one album they can keep re-releasing and adding to until they hit 80 minutes. We need to make a stand at some point. ;)

State of Shock and Mariah are medium hits. As much as I want it to happen, I doubt Kylie will make a comeback in the US this time.
We need to make a stand at some point ? Its already happening . Alot of People are Downloading music for free , and the CD's Sale's, are going down the drain .

I beg to differ, Bye Bye is just like that last POS single "Touch My Body" which clears the floor at my club gig.

She and her songwriters seems determined to rewrite "We Belong Together" over and over again. The only reason its #1 on Billboard this week is that her fans aren't smart enough to download it for free. I'll give radio credit for not taking the bait full on, as it falls in R&R's CHR chart from 9 to 10 despite a gain of 200 plus spins. Stick a fork in her....

She is part of a bigger problem at CHR right now, the lack of tempo. It's spring, a lot of us have come out of a never ending winter and we are stuck with one down tempo song after another. "Love Song" "Low" and "Four Minutes" are the only uptempo hits out there right now, every thing else is blow 85 neats per minute. It is BORING. Where is the excitement and energy?

WTF is wrong with this format??? Is it wrong to ask for something other than ballads and mush mouth down tempo hip hop. Hasn't the format learnmed anything from the success of Timberland/Timberlake and FloRida? People want to have fun and CHR isn't fun right now.

Yes, but "Touch My Body" was a stiff from the get go. The only reason it's gotten airplay is hype. It has researched horribly in callouts.
