Beyonce` will be releasing her new single sometime this summer called DEJA VU f. Jay-Z with an album to follow September 5th called B'DAY. This should be good for CHR/pop stations and stations across the board. Always good to have a great Beyonce` track.

That's some good news. I don't think I've ever heard a bad Beyoncé song, and I don't think she's had any flops yet. That includes all of the Destiny's Child material going all the way back to the end of 1997. Beyoncé and Jay-Z sound good together. I agree that this is good for CHR-POP radio.THE MAJOR
UPDATE: allaccess.com says that Beyonce's new single "DEJA VU feat. Jay-Z" will be released June 20th to Mainsteam radio. This could be a good summer party song but my sources are saying it's a mid-tempo ballad. We'll see.....

None of the singles off her first solo album ever flopped. Most of those mentioned like WORK IT OUT and FIGHTING TEMPTATIONS were on soundtracks and the other 2 were Destiny's Child tracks. That's the post I was referring to. I'd also argue about a couple items from her first album, like "Me, Myself, and I." While it was a huge Urban/Urban AC song, it wasn't as big at CHR/Pop as it could have been.The-Major said:

The first time I ever heard "Check On It" (last October) I was loving what I was hearing. It's like I knew the song all along. It was an instant out-of-the-box smash as far as I was concerned. The best part of Beyonce's song is Jay-Z. Hova ripped it good.
There's nothing new or original about Christina's song. She does a great job singing (I love her voice) and they put that over a modernized James Brown drum track. I almost didn't recognize it but they left just enough stank on it to "make it funky". ;D
