Pop2K

Has anyone noticed a format change with Pop2K?

I don't listen to it that often but today they had it on at work and I noticed it seems to have far more "old" (2001-05) songs than I remember. I also noticed a liner touting the "decade's biggest hits."

Did they switch over to a "2000's" format to co-exist with XM's other decades channels?

Just curious if anyone else noticed the change or if it's just my imagination.

I actually wish POP2K would skew a little bit more current. 20 on 20 would be the perfect CHR if had recurrents and golds. Pop2K and 20 on 20 together would be NICE.

Pop2k is now officially a "pop decades" channel according to their Facebook page.

To LoveJamminOldies, I'm glad Pop2k is the way it is now. Before it was basically a lame CHR station that relied really heavily on recent recurrents without breaking a lot of new music or churning tracks at all. It made for REALLY boring and predictable listening. Now it actually represents the entire decade, leaving 20 on 20 to be XM's full-fledged CHR.

I'm enjoying hearing songs I haven't heard in years, and I actually had Pop2k on during a party I threw Friday night and got a lot of "oh wows" out of my friends, which is always a good thing! :)

I like Pop2K. It's become one of my favorite channels.
