I thought they were stupid, but not necessairly offensive. It never fails, someone is always offended by any and everything. They just follow the "mentality" of the station.

If I were Chuck Frederick I would have put up 50 more billboards and told him to bese mi asno. Though in corporate radio no one has any huevos any longer. This now means anytime someone is offended WLW will back down. If they would stand their ground like South Park does, no one would go after them as it would be pointless.

Also why would Radio for Great Americans be offensive? Or for that matter The Big Juan. I've already sent my complaint letter to the Hispanic organization for their idiocy and am boycotting all Mexican restraunts until he appologizes to me.

I hope the Cincy Hispanic chamber is boycotting "Taco Time"

From their Burrito Menu

Big Juan Beef & Chicken
We don't call it the Big Juan for nothing! This is a really big burrito - -over 3/4lb--with a really big taste! Filled with delicious refried pinto beans, seasoned rice, a generous helping of your choice of seasoned lean ground beef or all-white chicken, real-aged cheddar cheese, cool sour cream, zesty picante sauce and salsa fresca.

Not to be Mr. Obvious here, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't the "Big Juan" that was offensive so much as the greasy-looking Frito Bandito dude. The first time I saw that on one of the boards, I was pretty stunned at the stereotype. Not surprised, given the CC's other campaigns, but stunned.

Maybe they should have said "So simple a caveman could do it." LOL

Goto Rio Grande in Newport, you are greeted with a statue of a mustached Mexican in a Sombero leading a donkey.

I have launched a campaign on myspace for people to boycott Hispanic businesses in Cincinnati until the Chamber issues an appology to me and 700 WLW and in my letter predicted that they would next try to dictate the topics discussed on the air.

Here is the letter I wrote:

=========

I'm offended at every single group like yours that takes the fun in free speech out of America. Here is a clue, if something hurts your feelings, toughen up. I'm a bald white American. If they ran ads saying "The Bald One" with a guy in a chrome dome I would not be offended. The Big Juan was funny. Because of your complaint I will no longer patron any of your members businesses or any Hispanic owned business including some of my favorite restraunts until you issue an apology to 700WLW for infringing on their freedom of speech and parody. Unfortunately they backed down, which just means you will go after them again next time you hear something YOU don't like. Fortunately there is still South Park, the last true realm of free speech in this country. You may be a watchgroup of the media, however I through my myspace page of thousands of members locally will be a watchgroup of you.

=---------------

Well like most boycotts they are useless. Boycotting locally owned hispanic businesses really won't hurt the chamber as most of their members are non-Hispanic owned large corporations I have to use. Oh well I still voiced my opinion.

If that's true, I'm moving to Mexico
